The Open Door Sales team are responsible for all start to finish processes when a customer is purchasing a new home. We are responsible for the sale of shared ownership and outright sale properties. I have worked in customer-focused based roles for the last 12 years, gaining experience within a variety of sectors including aviation, banking, and retail. I have always had a strong passion for the property industry having studied towards a HND in Building Surveying at Liverpool John Moore’s University. At the age of 23, I decided to travel. This desire then led me to a career working onboard a cruise ship and then as cabin crew, residing in the United Arab Emirates.

When moving back to the UK in early 2020, I was really determined to find a role within the property industry, which also incorporated sales and had a strong customer focus. I am overly excited to kick start my new career with Open Door! Since joining, everyone has made me feel extremely welcome and I truly feel a part of the team. As my role is a trainee position, I have had an enormous amount of support and guidance from my fellow colleagues and from the business. I am studying to complete a Level 3 in residential property sales. This will give me the opportunity to study whilst also fulfilling my job role simultaneously.

The biggest challenge I have faced so far is working from home as it makes learning from others slightly harder. We have utilised Microsoft teams and I attend an office meeting (weekly) with a colleague, which is hugely beneficial.The best part so far, is visiting our developments and being on site. I have already gained a great deal of job satisfaction being involved with big decisions, for example kitchen/flooring choices. It is only when you are on site, you can see all those ideas come alive! It is also very satisfying to see the structure of a building in all its different stages and what goes on behind the scenes, outside of the sales team!

I am looking forward to the opening of our brand-new show home. I will then be able to meet and welcome our customers along to view and hopefully start the journey of selling my first home!
